Mendoza
Mendoza is a Spanish surname of Basque origin, and a place name. It means Cold Mountain, from basque words mendi (mountain) and hotza (cold) (Mendoza being mendi+hotza). It is located in the northern-central part of the province, in a region of foothills and high plains, on the eastern side of the Andes.
