Coriole Vineyards was established by the Lloyd family in 1967, in hills overlooking the McLaren Vale wine region. The area is one of Australia's oldest and best-known wine districts. In the great tradition of McLaren Vale, Coriole produces top quality Shiraz which has propelled McLaren Vale onto the world wine stage. The Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is produced from vineyards planted in 1919. The Chenin Blanc, other flagship of Coriole Vineyards, has been judged as one of the top 10 Chenin Blanc in the world. For its quality and its consistency Coriole has again been rated a 5-star winery by leading Australian journalist James Halliday in his 2008 Australian Wine Companion. |
